As part of a family compound, the Bungalow hugs the water's edge with views out to the bay and across to the village and Blue Hill Mountain. Just off Blue Hill's Parker Point Road on Mackay Lane, the village is 1/2 mile in one direction and the Country Club is 1/8th of a mile in the other direction. Depending on tide, there is a small swimming cove. A rowing dinghy and 2 kayaks are available to guests upon signing a waiver. A bench at the end of a nearby point offers a fine place for meditation, peace and quiet. The Bungalow and Bungalhigh can be rented together to accommodate parties of six, and the homeowners are available to assist where needed, but they will value your privacy if you so desire. A private deep-water mooring can be arranged with advance notice.

Sunday to Sunday rental during July/August. Cadillac Views is a meticulously maintained and well-equipped home located in a quiet and peaceful setting on the shores of Union River Bay. Roomy and comfortable with hardwood floors throughout, the main floor includes a living room and formal dining room (with seating for 6) as well as an open family room/den with comfortable furniture, satellite TV and two sliding glass doors leading out onto the deck where you'll find comfortable furniture for relaxing and enjoying the view. The well-equipped kitchen just off of the family room and has granite counters and an island with seating for four. There is also a study tucked away on the main floor with a desk and wireless printer. There is a full-sized washer and dryer in the garage. All three bedrooms are on the second floor along with the second full bath (shower). Enjoy breathtaking views from both the master bedroom and one of the two other lovely bedrooms, both with queen beds. There are two more TVs as well. A finished basement includes a sofa, TV, additional fridge, game table and propane "wood" stove. Stepping outside you will find a wooden bench swing, hammock and 6-person hot tub. A backup generator provides backup power.

 

Newbury Neck is on a quiet road that's good for walking and riding bikes. Conveniently located about 15 minutes from Blue Hill and Ellsworth, it's a well-situated home base for day trips to Acadia National Park (about 34 miles away) and other points Downeast. The expansive gravel beach and protected bay make it an ideal spot for launching kayaks for all levels of experience. Guests return again and again to this house and often say that the photos do not do it justice. It is truly a home away from home for your family getaway. This property rents Sunday to Sunday from June 30th - October 20th.

The dvd library is a great way to end the day in front of the fire watching an old favorite film. DSL service is available for wireless internet. A table for 2 on the deck is a great spot for sunning or dining al fresco. Christine's Cottage was built by my husband's great uncle in the 1950s. It has been in the family ever since. We took the property over about 5 years ago and have been slowly updating.

Arriving by boat? The harbor is protected in all directions except the Northwest and features a fairly flat basin with a generally muddy bottom. There's plenty of depth at low tide in the heart of the harbor for all but the largest-drawing boats (i.e. Shamrock V), so you can anchor safely in most conditions.

Dorsey Cottage is situated on a quiet cove that is just off the popular sailing lanes of Eggemoggin Reach (a mile wide body of water separating Deer Isle from the mainland). This picturesque cove wraps around two sides of the home, and provides for more expanded views northeast looking out across the cove and out to the reach. The home is set back from Reach Road, with a large pasture fronting the home, providing for a fully tranquil setting. Simply furnished, the interior provides for a somewhat modest and relaxed atmosphere. The kitchen, living and dining area are open, light and airy, and all gaze upon the surrounding natural beauty.

 

The home has two bedrooms, one downstairs (queen) and one up (double), each with their own bathrooms. There is also a fold down futon in the living room for added sleeping. An open deck runs along the entire back of the home, and includes patio furniture. Both the living room and downstairs bedroom have sliding glass doors leading out to the deck. There is a covered deck on the front of the home overlooking the pasture. The setting is a kids paradise for exploration, but also a serene backdrop for adults to unwind and relax. Eboleth House, located in Sargentville, is named after the original family that lived there during the turn of the century. The current owners' family purchased the property in 1932 and have lovingly restored and updated it. Eboleth has 4 bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms and sits in a field overlooking Eggemoggin Reach and the Sedgwick/Deer Isle bridge.

 

Relax on the wrap-around porch enjoying the view of the bridge and meadow that was once an apple orchard. A short walk through the field leads to new stairs leading down to the private beach overlooking the Deer Isle Bridge and the beautiful sailing lanes of Eggemoggin Reach. The main floor includes the living area with comfortable seating and the dining area that seats 8. The kitchen is spacious and has the original handmade table and chairs. There is also a half bath that includes a new stackable washer/dryer. Like many of the old farmhouses in the area, there is a backset of stairs as well as the main stairs leading to the second floor. The main spiral stairs are made of very sturdy, unique tree branches and built by the owners' father, a master craftsman. They lead to 4 cozy bedrooms, each with a full bed and comfortable mattress. There are 4 additional cots available. While the fireplace is no longer used the rooms are individually heated in case of chilly mornings or evenings and an air conditioner is available. The spacious kitchen includes everything needed for cooking family meals.

 

Enjoy Internet access, Eboleth House is in a central location for families to stay while visiting Deer Isle and area towns. About an hour from Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, guests can enjoy a visit to the busy tourist areas of Mount Desert Island and then return to the peace and quiet of Sargentville for quiet and carefree evenings. This single-story cottage features three bedrooms: 1 king, 1 queen, and a double bedroom (sleeping a total of 6). In the king's master bedroom, there is a wonderful full bathroom, with a jacuzzi tub overlooking the ocean. There is also another bathroom with a shower only. There is a lovely kitchen, dining area and living room with incredible ocean views! Amenities include cable TVs (2), DVD, BBQ grill (gas), gas stove, microwave oven, WIFI, washer/dryer, and dishwasher.

 

Activities in the area include lake swimming, boating, kayaking, hiking, fishing, sightseeing, whale watching, and horseback riding. In addition to Acadia National Park, there are golf courses, public tennis courts, a water park, miniature golf, and an oceanarium! This is a Sunday to Sunday rental from the 4th week in June until the end of August with a 7-night minimum. Off-season there is a 5-night minimum and either check-in or check-out needs to be on Sunday. We need to adhere to these guidelines.

Welcome to Sunset Cottage in Surry, Maine, a sleepy little town on Morgan Bay. Nestled among the trees, this home offers full views of the ocean from its 50' deck, sunroom, kitchen, dining room, and living room. The first floor master suite also looks out onto the ocean and has its own entrance to the deck. An acre of trees stand between the house and the quiet country road providing relaxing and peaceful seclusion. As you approach the house, a log cabin that sleeps 4 welcomes your family. Steps leading from the deck down to the water beckon a walk on the beach, a must for children and grownups alike, and an opportunity to collect pebbles and shells and delight in the tide pools left behind as the water recedes back to the sea. Twice a day the tide changes, moving about 40 yards. The main house is designed for comfort with king size beds in both the master suite and guest room. An additional full-size bed is also located in the guest room. There are two bathrooms, one in the master with a tub and shower and another with a shower. The dining room sits 6-8 comfortably and the well-equipped kitchen has everything needed to create memorable meals. Wolfhound Cottage, a beautifully built post & beam cottage, sits at the end of a dirt road surrounded by moss-covered boulders and tall, windblown, spruce trees - the classic Maine forest. A 110 acre, nature preserve is right next door providing ample walking trails. A short stroll (about 200 yards) through the woods brings you to the beach, a mix of sand, large boulders and rocky areas.

 

The interior of this privately situated cottage is open and spacious with hardwood floors and rough-hewn ceilings, giving the entire space an elegant but earthy feel. Colorful hanging buoys and oriental rugs adorn the interior. Enjoy the deck to take in the fresh, clean air and watch the birds or just relax. Wolfhound does not disappoint. One bedroom upstairs is situated to accommodate 3 (children over 10 please) with a king-size bed and a twin bed separated by s screen. A fenced-in yard offers ample space for your dog. Even with Wolfhound sitting so close to the beach, due to tree growth the views are not seen from the second story. Cable TV and High-Speed Internet! Important: Please be aware that the well water has intermittent saltwater intrusion. While there are filters, a salty residue can sometimes be present in the water. As such, the owners provide ample bottled water for drinking and cooking. The water is safe and satisfactory for showering and dishwashing.

Just off Blue Hill's Parker Point Road on Mackay Lane, the village is 1/2 mile in one direction and the Country Club is 1/8th of a mile in the other direction. Depending on tide, there is a small swimming cove. A rowing dinghy and 2 kayaks are available to guests upon signing a waiver. A bench at the end of a nearby point offers a fine place for meditation, peace and quiet. The Bungalow and Bungalhigh can be rented together to accommodate parties of six, and the homeowners are available to assist where needed, but they will value your privacy if you so desire. A private deep-water mooring can be arranged with advance notice.

Roomy and comfortable with hardwood floors throughout, the main floor includes a living room and formal dining room (with seating for 6) as well as an open family room/den with comfortable furniture, satellite TV and two sliding glass doors leading out onto the deck where you'll find comfortable furniture for relaxing and enjoying the view. The well-equipped kitchen just off of the family room and has granite counters and an island with seating for four. There is also a study tucked away on the main floor with a desk and wireless printer. There is a full-sized washer and dryer in the garage. All three bedrooms are on the second floor along with the second full bath (shower). Enjoy breathtaking views from both the master bedroom and one of the two other lovely bedrooms, both with queen beds. There are two more TVs as well. A finished basement includes a sofa, TV, additional fridge, game table and propane "wood" stove. Stepping outside you will find a wooden bench swing, hammock and 6-person hot tub. A backup generator provides backup power.

 

Newbury Neck is on a quiet road that's good for walking and riding bikes. Conveniently located about 15 minutes from Blue Hill and Ellsworth, it's a well-situated home base for day trips to Acadia National Park (about 34 miles away) and other points Downeast. The expansive gravel beach and protected bay make it an ideal spot for launching kayaks for all levels of experience. Guests return again and again to this house and often say that the photos do not do it justice. It is truly a home away from home for your family getaway. This property rents Sunday to Sunday from June 30th - October 20th.

The view is spectacular. The cottage is cozy. The kitchen is fully equipped, and all of the bed and bath linens are provided. The deck is a great space to watch the tide, seals, dolphins, loons and eagles. The great room fireplace is warm and inviting. The dvd library is a great way to end the day in front of the fire watching an old favorite film. DSL service is available for wireless internet. A table for 2 on the deck is a great spot for sunning or dining al fresco. Christine's Cottage was built by my husband's great uncle in the 1950s. It has been in the family ever since. We took the property over about 5 years ago and have been slowly updating.

Arriving by boat? The harbor is protected in all directions except the Northwest and features a fairly flat basin with a generally muddy bottom. There's plenty of depth at low tide in the heart of the harbor for all but the largest-drawing boats (i.e. Shamrock V), so you can anchor safely in most conditions.

Eboleth House, located in Sargentville, is named after the original family that lived there during the turn of the century. The current owners' family purchased the property in 1932 and have lovingly restored and updated it. Eboleth has 4 bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms and sits in a field overlooking Eggemoggin Reach and the Sedgwick/Deer Isle bridge.

 

Relax on the wrap-around porch enjoying the view of the bridge and meadow that was once an apple orchard. A short walk through the field leads to new stairs leading down to the private beach overlooking the Deer Isle Bridge and the beautiful sailing lanes of Eggemoggin Reach. The main floor includes the living area with comfortable seating and the dining area that seats 8. The kitchen is spacious and has the original handmade table and chairs. There is also a half bath that includes a new stackable washer/dryer. Like many of the old farmhouses in the area, there is a backset of stairs as well as the main stairs leading to the second floor. The main spiral stairs are made of very sturdy, unique tree branches and built by the owners' father, a master craftsman. They lead to 4 cozy bedrooms, each with a full bed and comfortable mattress. There are 4 additional cots available. While the fireplace is no longer used the rooms are individually heated in case of chilly mornings or evenings and an air conditioner is available. The spacious kitchen includes everything needed for cooking family meals.

 

Enjoy Internet access, Eboleth House is in a central location for families to stay while visiting Deer Isle and area towns. About an hour from Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, guests can enjoy a visit to the busy tourist areas of Mount Desert Island and then return to the peace and quiet of Sargentville for quiet and carefree evenings. Located on desirable Hancock Point, Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park are about 35-40 minutes away. Schoodic Point (another branch of Acadia) is just 20 minutes away, heading down east! This is a great spot for your Maine seacoast vacation!

 

This single-story cottage features three bedrooms: 1 king, 1 queen, and a double bedroom (sleeping a total of 6). In the king's master bedroom, there is a wonderful full bathroom, with a jacuzzi tub overlooking the ocean. There is also another bathroom with a shower only. There is a lovely kitchen, dining area and living room with incredible ocean views! Amenities include cable TVs (2), DVD, BBQ grill (gas), gas stove, microwave oven, WIFI, washer/dryer, and dishwasher.

 

Activities in the area include lake swimming, boating, kayaking, hiking, fishing, sightseeing, whale watching, and horseback riding. In addition to Acadia National Park, there are golf courses, public tennis courts, a water park, miniature golf, and an oceanarium! This is a Sunday to Sunday rental from the 4th week in June until the end of August with a 7-night minimum. Off-season there is a 5-night minimum and either check-in or check-out needs to be on Sunday. We need to adhere to these guidelines.
