I feel the inside pictures of this house doesn’t do it justice. Very cozy and nice inside. Our family loved staying here. It was so fun to go down by the bay and look at shells and starfish. Although it is a bit away from Acadia, I am so thankful we stayed here away from all the businesses of Acadia. We would definitely book here again.

Beautiful waterfront property

Absolutely beautiful waterfront property. Private, peaceful and well-stocked to ensure that guests enjoy themselves. We took a family trip where my parents were able to spend time relaxing on the porches, my children explored the rocky shore and I was able to enjoy a little bit of both. Within an hour of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, plus close to a quaint small town with a nice gift shop, cafe and general store.

Fabulous Getaway

A perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The kitchen is well stocked, the beds comfortable, and very clean, and the view is gorgeous… We even had a few seals stop by to say hi in the bay. The cabin had bug spray, sunscreen, and spices, left by other guests, so don’t go shopping until you get there. Major grocery store about 20 minutes away. If we travel back through Maine we would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Maine Camp

Beautiful views and a lovely setting make this the perfect place for a getaway. The camp is comfortable and cozy and close to the water, and good walks and just it’s great to hang out on the deck. Just be a tiny bit patient for the well water to heat up – it will!

My mom, aunt, and I loved staying here! The morning sunrise views are incredible, and it’s nestled perfectly in a quiet area. it was clean and plenty of room for us.

Great stay at Barnacle Cottage

Often when staying at someone else’s home, I wonder what I would do to make this more my own place. At Barnacle Cottage there was nothing I would change!

It was in a breathtaking location (seeing Cadillac Mountain across the water), things were up to date and working well, and they seem to think of every possibility and met it (kitchen supplies and equipment, linens, even emergency toothbrushes and shampoo).

We were surprised at how far away from Acadia and Bar Harbor it was (about an hour drive),

I would recommend this location to anyone

This is a lovely location on the coast. The porch is my favorite place, right after the tide pools below. Great for a quiet getaway with friends.

Spectacular Water View

This vacation rental is very private with a spectacular water view. The master bedroom is spacious and very comfortable. The kitchen is easy to use and has good cooking utensils. The location is convenient to Blue Hill for shopping and restaurants. It should be a good place for a family to really get away from it all and enjoy the natural beauty of Maine.

This is an absolutely beautiful spot with a well-kept cabin. Spectacular sunrises and sunsets and a few seal sightings. The hot water in the main bathroom was a little quirky but we got the hang of it. We will definitely look for this listing again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Location has beautiful views (especially sunrise) and is so quiet and peaceful. House was equipped with everything we needed. Would definitely choose again for future visits.

We had a wonderful time. Location is gorgeous and surrounded by many areas to explore. We welcomed no TV or Internet (it was explicitly explained in the listing) which made it a perfect place to rest.

Excellent Retreat

This home is well out of the way and serves as an excellent retreat from the hectic day to day chaos of life. There is no phone/internet/cable which some may see as a drawback but is most certainly not. We found that it became a strong positive, allowing our family the time and space to reconnect. Everything was perfect. Towels, linens, cookware were provided in ample amounts. It is well kept and clean. The yard is spacious and private with an excellent view of the water with it’s beautiful sunrise as well as visits from lobster boats each morning. It is a quintessential slice of Maine coastal tranquility. Grocery stores and a Redbox are only miles away. We will definitely try to return each year. Highly recommended.
